US deploys Sex And The City cast to Muslim World

In a rare diplomatic move the Department of State has deployed the cast of "Sex And The City 2" to Abu Dabi to highlight American excess in the heart of the Muslim world, striking a deliberate blow at any terrorist who thinks American consumerism is waning.

"The cast of Sex And The City has volunteered their services on a diplomatic mission to the Middle East to show Islamist extremists that America is, and will always remain a consumer-based, sexually-motivated society," Secretary Clinton said in a press brief this morning.

The all-star foursome made the trip to the conservative Middle East wearing their trademark low-cut couture where they proceeded to seduce many Islamic men, except for Carrie Bradshaw, who was too confused over her relationship with Mr. Big to participate.

Al-Qaeda quickly released a tape condemning the use of such power. "This was a disproportionate response to the failed Times Square bombing plot and is considered a declaration of war, but we will wait to destroy America until we find out whether Carrie goes with Mr. Big or Aidan."

"We discussed it with our allies," explained Robert Gibbs, "and we all agreed that no bomb could strike a larger blow to Islamist Extremists than the cast of Sex And The City doing what they do best in the heart of the Muslim world."
