Vh1's Worst Week Ever - Iran

A flight from Tehran to Armenia crashed Wednesday killing all 168 on board. This news comes after weeks of heated election protests in which Pir Musavi followers and Ahmedinijad's forces have come to significant, often fatal blows.

Both the protests and the plane crash have similar origins. Recent protests over the Presidential elections tend to revolve around voter fraud and Iranians frustrations with its current isolationist, nuclear-ambitious, holocaust denying leader. It's those same isolationist, nuclear-ambitious, holocaust denying sentiments that have caused the UN to impose some pretty harsh sanctions on Iran, including an embargo on Boeing and Airbus aircraft. Without a modern fleet, Tehran has been forced to supplement its air fleet with Soviet-era craft, which have a tendency to crash and kill all 168 on board.

And that's why Iran is having Vh1's Worst Week Ever. I hope the nukes are worth it! Look what nuclear status did for Pakistan. Or Israel. All peace and lollipops in those huggable nations!
