The Apocalypse (again)

Pandemic Scenario:
The death toll is up to 149 in Mexico. Cases have been found in half a dozen other countries: Canada, New Zealand, Israel, Spain, Australia. Locals near the outbreak in Veracruz state say they live near a polluted pig farm. Other apocalyptic pandemics in the past five years: SARs, Avian Flu, West Nile Virus, something about bees rapidly dying off.

Nuclear Holocaust Scenario:
Pakistan meanwhile has asked for more foreign aide to ensure its nuclear stockpile remains "in safe hands". The Taliban has launched an offensive. The extreme Islamists are now less than sixty miles outside the city. Before 2001, the Pakistani government had nukes and was allied with the Taliban, yet they never used them. Pakistan could also just nuke the Taliban if push came to shove.

Orwellian Government Scenario:
Glenn Beck, mirroring the apocalyptic website http://www.liberty4life.com/ written about before, says he can't discount whether FEMA is building concentration camps on American soil. He also sells Barack Obama bobbleheads on his website.

Terrorist Plot Scenario:
New York City residents were heard over amateur video screaming and yelling "not again" when a low-flying plane looked like it was about to strike the Statue of Liberty. The plane was Air Force One. It was conducting a photo op.

Robot-Revolt Scenario:
Katie's car broke down on Sunday. She drove the other car.
