Creepy or Romantic?

As noted by the New York Times, one of Britain's most distinguished conductors, Sir Edmund Downes flew to Switzerland and swallowed a lethal cocktail, along with his terminally-ill wife in a Romeo-and-Juilet-meets-Kavorkian styled death.

The couple had been married for a half-century. Downes himself had no known terminal illness, but simply wanted to follow his wife onto the next great adventure.
