While the world grieves the loss of the man who brought hollywood-style Kung Fu wisdom to the Wild West, more details are coming out about the 72 year old Carradine's death. Now Thai authorities are speculating this wasn't so much a suicide as it was a sex act gone horribly, horribly wrong.
Carradine was found in the closet of his Swissotel room with a cord not only tied around his neck, but also his genitals. Thai police investigating the matter--and if there is any one police force that knows a thing or two about kinky sex acts--speculates this may have been a mislaid (ha!) autoerotic sex game.
Many close to the late actor state he would never kill himself, according to the Washington Post, though there is no word on whether they knew he was into the kinky stuff. Leaving his fetishes in the closet, Carradine did air some other dirty laundry over his career: in 1975 he was arrested after vandalizing his neighbor's house in the nude while tripping on peyote, and he was also court-martialed out of the Army for shoplifting on a base.
His death will remain a curiosity, as will his ability to so-easily get out of the Army. So long Kwai Chang Caine. So long.
